		<description>Jeff,

I was a home eating lunch and watched McCain announce Palin.

I could imagine Obama doing the same think, saying to his wife, "thank god we got rid of our number one opponent Clinton, she came too close to winning the nomination, we just barely beat her and the party is still resentful, wait, what's that, a conservative, Christian version of Clinton?. Her attitude its just like Clinton, but she doesn't roll her eyes to make a points. She's thanking Clinton for helping her win? She just assumes she will win because the world owes it to her? Just like,,,, Just like,,,,,Clinton,,,, oh crap! today everyone was supposed to be talking about me and my great convention, I know I will tell the world she has no foreign policy experience and you cant have someone at that level with no foreign policy experience that would be as stupid as electing,,,,me? Crap, we gotta find a way to change the subject and fast. Someone call Saturday Night Live".

I think the main point here is McCain is offering the voters the closest thing he could find to a McCain Clinton ticket. Obama wants change and he brought up one of the oldest of good ol boys for his veep. I don't think McCain even has a good idea of what his veep has in store for his administration. But for pure theater, he could not have done better. All she needed was a haircut like Clintons and the media would have gotten it too. All Obama can do is attack her for being a woman or ignore her completely. I think she will be the cocker spaniel at the dinner party, chewing away his shin while he politely tries to ignore her and make a good impression on the hosts. This will be a good test of Obama's composure but you have to give McCain points for being crafty, and I like crafty. Still it does distract from the main questions, the war and the economy and above all energy. Before I choose, I need hard data on all three.
