Did you hear about the odds-makers in England and Ireland, British and Irish Bookmakers Bet Against Palin? Apparently the odds on Palin being dropped from the ticket have been cut in half over the last couple of days.
When McCain first nominated Palin I thought it was a stroke of genius; now I am wondering whether he wants to win at all.
I would like to think that he has some more Machiavellian plan behind all his actions but having listened to the man in quieter moments I am convinced he is almost guileless.
The only thing that makes sense is that he wanted to embarass the far right by putting up a candidate that is a complete joke so that Joe Lieberman would be more acceptable as a VP choice after Palin resigns.
Maybe he has more guile than I thought?
